The Library
The hub, and the seven sections it leads to.
The Library is where everything you have added ends up. The hub itself holds no content — it lists seven sections, each one a different question about what you have, and the content is one level down.
That is deliberate. A single list of everything would mix a podcast subscription, a folder of your own music and somebody's media server into one scroll, and those are not the same kind of thing.
The seven sections
| Section | What it lists |
|---|---|
Subscriptions | Podcasts, subscribed station playlists and single streams |
Local media | What is on this device — its music, its video, and the folders they were found in |
Media servers | The servers you have signed in to, read live rather than from a stored copy |
Playlists | Playlists kept on this device — made here, or imported |
Favourites | Everything you have marked, whatever it came from |
Downloads | What is currently kept on the device |
History | What you have actually listened to, most recent first |
Sections and tabs are the same places
Any of the seven can be promoted onto the bar along the bottom, which saves two taps. A promoted tab opens the section it names — it is not a second screen with its own copy of the same list.
See The tabs along the bottom for choosing them.
Chips, where a section needs them
Four of the sections split further, and they do it with chips along the top rather than with more rows in the hub:

The chips you last used are remembered per section, so a section reopens where you left it rather than resetting to the first one.
Media servers is the one section read live. The others list what is already stored on the device. Opening Media servers asks the servers themselves, so it needs them to be reachable.
