Favourites, Downloads and History
The three sections that list episodes and tracks rather than subscriptions.
These three answer questions about individual things rather than about what you follow. All three offer Play all and Shuffle all in the bar.
Favourites
Everything you have marked, from anywhere — a podcast episode, a track off the device, a station, a song on a server — newest first.
Mark something with Add to favourites from its menu, or the heart on the full player. Selecting several at once gives you Favourite and Unfavourite.
Chips narrow it to where things came from: All, Subscriptions, Local media, Media servers and Playlists. More than one can be lit at a time.
If you are signed in to a media server, pull down to ask the servers again for what you have starred there — the one part of Favourites that can change without Mediagg being told. A server's favourites are also brought in when it signs in.
Favouriting is also how you protect a download. None of the four clearing-out policies ever deletes a favourite — see Making room.
Downloads
What is currently on the device because Mediagg fetched it — podcast episodes and media-server tracks. Files scanned from the device are not listed here, because they were never downloaded and Mediagg will not remove them.
Two chips, Subscriptions and Media servers, and with neither lit you see both.
If some downloads have lost their files, a banner says so: The files for 3 downloads are no longer on this device. They still play, by streaming., and Restore missing fetches them again.
History
What you have actually listened to, most recently first. No chips.
A thing counts as history if you got anywhere into it. An episode abandoned halfway is there, and so is one you finished — History means what a listener means by it, not "finished".
Empty, it says Nothing here yet.
All three can be promoted onto the bar along the bottom, if you use one often enough to want it a tap away. See What the bar shows.
